HITSZ students won prizes in the final of the 12th China Mathematical Competition

The final of the 12th China Mathematical Competition was recently held at Jilin University. He Xianghua, a cohort-2019 student from the School of Science majoring in data science and big data technology, won second prize in the mathematics major group (early-year students), the first ever prize that anyone from HITSZ had won in this group. Bai Hengbo, a cohort-2019 student from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation majoring in electrical engineering and automation, and Li Xiaopeng, a cohort-2019 student from the School of Science majoring in data science and big data technology, won third prize in the non-mathematics major group and the mathematics major group (early-year students), respectively.

Organized by the Chinese Mathematical Society, the China Mathematical Competition has become one of the most significant competitions for university students in China.
